Digital Norm campaign – request for support

volunteers-week-event-flyer-2019

Dear town/parish council

Please could we ask that you support our latest communications campaign by placing an article based on the attached news release in your parish magazine or e-newsletter.

Superfast Dorset recently secured £20,000 from the BDUK Superfast Take-up Fund, which pays for creative communications campaigns urging local people to switch from standard to superfast broadband. The more Dorset homes and businesses that switch, the greater the money (potentially millions) we receive to extend the fibre-optic network to further communities across Dorset.

Our latest campaign is based around an animation showing how a new character, Digital Norm, and his family switch from a standard to a superfast broadband service, doubling their speed and saving money in the process. The campaign slogan is “superfast broadband . . . it’s the Norm in Dorset”. More details are attached.

Please get behind the campaign by:

  • Circulating to parish/town councillors
  • Carrying an article in any parish/town publications (images attached)
  • Providing information and a link from your parish council website (linking to www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/superfast)
  • Supporting the campaign on social media and elsewhere. You may wish to follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook and sign up to receive our e-newsletters.

Thank you for your support and if you have any questions please do get in touch.
